Re-use.

Re-duce.

Re-cycle.

We prioritize the longevity of our products, considering their entire lifecycle from production to the repurposing of containers after you’ve enjoyed your soy candle. We encourage you to reuse, recycle, and reduce, and we have some useful suggestions for reusing your containers.

  • Re-use

    1. Storage Containers: Use them to store small items like paper clips, hairpins, or spices.

    2. Planters: Turn them into small planters for succulents or herbs.

    3. Vases: Fill them with water and use them as vases for small flowers.

    4. Bathroom Organizers: Store cotton balls, swabs, or makeup brushes.

    5. Desk Organizers: Keep pens, pencils, and other stationery items organized.

    6. DIY Projects: Use them for various DIY crafts, like making your own candles or creating decorative pieces.

    7. Kitchen Containers: Store loose tea, coffee beans, or other kitchen essentials.

    8. Candle Holders: Use them as candle holders for tea lights or small votive candles.

    9. Gift Containers: Fill them with homemade treats or bath salts and give them as gifts.

    10. Jewelry Holders: Store rings, earrings, or other small pieces of jewelry.

  • Re-duce

Reducing the number of empty candle jars involves a few thoughtful practices:

    1. *Quality Over Quantity* Invest in high-quality candles that have longer burn times and better performance, reducing the need to replace them often.

    2. *Recycling Programs*: Participate in our recycling programs that accept candle jars.

    3. **Minimalist Approach**: Limit the number of candles you use by only burning them when needed, reducing the overall consumption.

By adopting these practices, you can significantly reduce the number of empty candle jars and contribute to a more sustainable lifestyle.

  • Recycle

Recycling empty candle jars involves several step-by-step to ensure they are properly prepared for recycling:

    1. Remove Leftover Wax:

    • Freeze the Jar: Place the jar in the freezer for a few hours. The wax will contract and can be easily removed with a spoon or knife.

    • Boiling Water Method: Pour boiling water into the jar. The heat will melt the wax, causing it to float to the top. Once the water cools, you can remove the solidified wax.

    2. Clean the Jar:

    • Wash the jar with warm, soapy water to remove any remaining wax residue and soot. A scrub brush can help with stubborn spots.

    3. Remove Labels and Wick Holders:

    • Soak the jar in warm, soapy water to loosen any labels. Peel them off and scrub away any adhesive residue.

    • Use pliers to remove the metal wick holder at the bottom of the jar.

    4. Recycle the Jar.

    5. Join Project Happiness Recycling Program by simply reaching out to us via email or our instagram @projecthappinesscandle when you have a handful of empty jars.

    • 5 empty jars can be redeemed for 1 FREE 8 oz candle.

By following these steps, you can ensure your empty candle jars are properly recycled, contributing to environmental sustainability.
